First time buyers thrown a lifeline

FIRST TIME BUYERS ARE THROWN A LIFE LINE AT HARBOURSIDE

First Time Buyers are being thrown a life line at Crest Nicholson's Harbourside development in Bristol.

The developer has recognised the impact the current credit crunch is having on the bottom rung of the property ladder and has come up with the EasyBuy scheme that will provide a leg up for newcomers to the property market.

On Thursday 11th September from 5.00pm to 7.30pm Crest Nicholson will hold a special First Time Buyers evening in its marketing suite on Cathedral Walk, off Canon's Way to launch EasyBuy. Mortgage advisors and other experts will be on hand to provide information and explain how the scheme works.

EasyBuy lets First Time Buyers pay just 75% of the purchase price now, while owning 100% of the property. The remaining 25% is left outstanding as a loan for up to 10 years. Purchasers pay 0% pa interest on the outstanding 25% for the first five years and only 3% interest pa (typical 3% APR) thereafter.

The scheme comes with the following benefits:-

• No mortgage deposit required
• Stamp duty paid
• Mortgage arrangement fee paid
• Legal fees paid
• Survey fees paid

Crest Nicholson Regeneration Sales & Marketing Director Ian Plumley said: “We have moved with the times. EasyBuy allows purchasers to move in for free. There is no catch.

“Under our EasyBuy scheme a one bedroom apartment currently on the market for £185,000 can be purchased for £138,750. Similarly two bedroom apartments currently on the market for £235,000 can be purchased for £176,250. We anticipate that we will be extremely busy on our First Time Buyer evening”.

The EasyBuy scheme is only available on selected properties at Harbourside and is not available in conjunction with any other offer.
