MORTGAGE OFFERS BEAT THE CREDIT CRUNCH

Despite a downturn in the economy it is still possible to be living in stylish apartments at Harbourside, Bristol for just £540 per month.

Crest Nicholson (Regeneration), who are selling apartments in The Crescent, alongside Bristol's historic harbour, say that canny home-hunters can ensure such payments for the next two years by using a combination of special offers and good mortgage rates.

Richard Pidgeon of Crest Nicholson (Regeneration) said: “Despite the doom and gloom about the credit crunch it is still possible to buy an apartment for less than many people pay in rent.

“We all know that you never see rental payments back and many people are paying up to £1,000 per month to rent one or two bedroom apartments in central Bristol, so for those who see their long-term future in central Bristol buying is a good financial option.”

Buyers at Harbourside are being offered deals on selected apartments, which see will see £500 being paid towards the mortgage by the developers each month over the next two years.

A one-bedroom ground floor apartment in Halyard House, part of The Crescent building has been reduced in price to £249,500. It will be completed by July so that new owners could be living there by the summer.

Another third-floor two-bedroom apartment is for sale at £265,000 with the stamp duty paid by the developers. At 825 square feet it provides spacious living accommodation right in the heart of Bristol.

The apartments are finished to the highest standards with luxury fittings including Vileroy and Boch sanitaryware in the bathrooms and De Dietrich appliances in the kitchen.

Harbourside is just yards from Bristol city centre and Park Street and has its own Marks and Spencer Simply Food store just a few steps from the apartments. There are also coffee bars, the new Chinese restaurant Zen, a Fitness First gym and casino that are all opened as part of the development.

For information on the apartments simply call in at The Crescent Marketing Suite, which is open seven days a week from 10 am to 5pm or call 0117 9088888. More information is available on www.harbourside.co.uk.
